2008 imac no chime

    Early 2008 iMac 24" won't boot

    My early 2008 iMac 24" won't boot at all. There's no chime and the screen is just black. The Mac has been sitting for a year. Since I can't turn it on, I can't check any specs or do any type of troubleshooting. What could cause this to happen and can this type of problem be fixed?
