I have a 2017 i5 12-inch Macbook Retina and am wondering if anyone with a similar model has updated to Ventura. Is it okay? Laggy? And how is the battery life? Thanks!

Now that the 2017 MacBook Pros have been announced and are available for pre order, does that mean that the 2016 models available in the physical Apple Store right now get a price drop? Or do they cost exactly the same as the new 2017 models?
