    I would like to upgrade the storage in my 13" rMBP from 256GB and due to incompatibility issues (extra power consumption, sleep/hibernation issues) I rather choose a used SSD. My questions that is it physically possible to put the 1TB Samsung SSUAX drive into the slot and close the bottom case...

    Has anyone made an external housing for an Apple SSD PCIe 2.0 x2 interface so I can use the SSD as an external drive (preferably thunderbolt). Or is the SSD heading to the same landfill/graveyard as the iMac it came form?

    Who Made This SSD?

    2017 MacBook Pro 13' TB. 1TB SSD. APPLE SSD AP1024J I did some reading and it looks like the first two characters determine the manufacturer - http://osxdaily.com/2012/06/21/determine-manufacturer-of-mac-ssd/ -- TS = Toshiba. SM = Samsung. I guess AP = Apple? So Apple makes its own 1TB SSDs...
