auto brightness

On my base 14" MBP, the system report info shows a "no" in the the automatic brightness line. However, automatic brightness is enabled and it works fine. Wondering if just a software bug. I'm on macOS 12.2.1 (21D62). Anyone else getting the same results? Here is a screenshot of what it shows:

Auto brightness considered as battery saving option where as it is said that manual brightness consume more battery power than auto brightness. how auto brightness saves battery life. should i use auto brightness or stick with manual brightness
