education discount

Just out of curiosity, have you used the Apple Education pricing discount when ordering through the Apple website? It usually is at least $100 off (or around 10%ish). I am looking to upgrade my 2017 Intel MBP 13" and I don't see why you wouldn't take the discount?

Any idea when this will commence? Hoping to score free airpods! A staff at an apple store told me that Apple might have this earlier than usual (late Dec instead of early Jan).
