    can't locate username, i.e. can't login

    Dear friends, I have a late Mac Book Pro late 2011s 17" and upgraded to high sierra yesterday.. sad to say. The reason I wanted to upgrade was due to the fact that I have a strange functioning WiFi, i.e. the network it finds, but then the drop down becomes larger and shows many other items...
