    Mac acting weird the last few days

    Something is pretty weird with my Mac these last few days (this is a Quad Core 2.8 2010/Nehalem running El Capitan 10.11.6). The last few days when I started the up the Mac, the desktop appears with all its icons on it as normal, but nothing would work. Double-clicking on an icon did nothing...
