I have a Western Digital Black P10 gaming HDD (2TB) that I've been using for about a year to store photos, as well as other random things I don't want to save internally.
Everything was working fine, I was able to transfer things in and out, view things, and do typical external storage tasks...
I have this 12 TB external hard disk drive with the main partition being an 11 TB exFAT partition. The thing is, this partition is somehow broken, and when it gets mounted macOS will often display an error saying "macOS can't repair the disk" and that I should back up all the files on it; macOS...
I know this is not the first post about this issue, I just can't seem to find a fix for this or why it keeps happening. Once again out of the blue last night, this is now the second external hard drive that suddenly changed to "read only" in less than 2 years.
These are Mac ready WD external...
