Hello
I recently bought a MacBook pro 13 2020 on Intel processor (need native windows support) and it came with macOS Sequoia already installed. I have a feeling that on this version the laptop is running at the limit of its capabilities)) Thought to install some of the previous versions of...
Having ordered a Mac Studio, I knew I’d need a new monitor. My existing ones are old 1080p screens which, attached to my MBP don’t look all that great. With the MBP I can use its own screen for work, and the external screens to dump things on that I only need to glance at, but the Studio...
The most important feature by far in today’s iPhone 16E is Apple’s first party 5G modem. This paves the way for the M5 MacBook Pro to possibly include a built-in cellular option for the first time — a long overdue feature. Will this change your purchase plans for the M4 MacBook Pro?
I just "upgraded" from my home MBP Mid-2012 to a MBP M4 and these keyboards are very very different.
At work, I have a HP wired keyboard (excellent) as well as separate laptop, Dell Latitude 5420 (excellent excellent keyboard)
The MBP M4 low profile keycaps are not comfortable, slippery with...
Well I've search and searched, lots of threads on this with no definitive solution. Let's try and get to the bottom of it. Going to list some facts below:
My system is a 16" M1 Max MacBook Pro running MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1.
I noticed the process "nsurlsessiond" is downloading something non-stop...
Good morning, Mac users! 🌞 I hope you’re all doing well. This year, I’m embarking on an Apple ecosystem refresh. I’ve already upgraded my Apple Watch and iPhone, and now I’m moving on to AirTags, AirPods Pro , and a MacBook Pro. This will be my first Mac.
One of the key items on my list is a...
Protective shells don't seem popular in this forum given the dearth of messages. The argument in favor is obvious. But do these shells damage a MacBook Pro over time because of the extra weight on the hinge or the pressure on the display from the plastic fasteners? Are soft shells safer than...
From reading around, lower power mode on MacBooks:
Reduces CPU performance
Lowers screen brightness
Turns off Promotion (disables 120Hz refresh rate)
Lowers fan noise (by reducing heat output)
Apple doesn't seem to actually specify any of this.
Has anyone found a way to customize what exactly...
I know repasting is not really necessary as these Apple silicon chips run pretty cool. However, the MAX machines can run into thermal throttling, so I'm curious if anyone has done it and what their experience with this was in terms of temp differences and difficulty, etc. I had a hell of a time...
I just noticed something really strange on my new (to me) 16" M1 Max MBP running MacOS Sequoia 15.2. When tapping into an inactive window with the trackpad, sometimes the tap actually does something in that window, and sometimes it just makes the window active. This only seems to happen when...
I upgraded form the air m1 to the pro m4 and I think it's a very good time to upgrade to the MacBook Pro !!
- If you are on intel, of course you need to upgrade (performances are 10x+)
- If you are on m1/m2 MacBook Air or MacBook Pro it might be ok for you but I think the MacBook Pro m4 14...
Hi, to those who have been using their Space Black MacBook Pro for a year and not touching it without washing hands after meals, does it still look new?
I prefer to buy major electronics like AirPods or Apple Watch only from apple. My main concern is device issues that I cannot verify for instance - impact damage, water damage, tampering with internal components. The device may appear to operate normally while purchase from a user on FB...
Well, well, well...it's been quite some time since I've posted here. Last time I was here, I was the faithful and loyal owner of a 2019 Mac Pro and a studio full of Apple only. It was maxed out in every aspect and I swore by it. You wouldn't catch me dead with a non Apple product. Everyone here...
Hi everyone,
I’m currently using an M1 Max MacBook Pro 16" (32 core gpu, 1 TB SSD, 32 GB Ram) and considering upgrading to the M4 Max (40 core gpu, 1 TB SSD, 48 gb RAM).
I was wondering if anyone who has made the jump has noticed any noticeable speed improvements in day-to-day tasks like web...
It came from my dead 2014 MBP.
What form factor or whatever is this? The connector on it does not look like all my other M.2 drives. What kind of USB enclosure do I need to connect this to my new Mac?
Hi, I have a HomePod mini that works perfectly with Apple TV 4k gen 3.
However, when using it as an audio output on the Macbook Pro 15" 2017, the experience is not the best. There is a delay at certain points and it goes silent for a few seconds on YouTube, and the audio is choppy on Apple...
Could someone provide some guidance on whether it is advisable to upgrade my MacBook Pro M3 Max to the M4 Max or wait for a further year or two? Are the significant improvements substantial? Also, can someone share insights into the overall experience of the new nano texture display?
So MacBook's unpopular Touch Bar is completely gone....
I think it was unique gimmick with something potential and it should have been ADDED to the full keyboard, instead of REPLACING the physical keys.
What do you think?
