Apperently the new accessories like the new Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad with USB type C does not work on earlier versions of macOS. On the website it is listed to work with OS X 10.11 or later, however this is incorrect.
Apple is aware and is working on a fix.

Hi.
I recently purchased an old iMac from late 2014 to use for school work and media consumption. Now all was going great until the bluetooth on both the Magic Keyboard and Mouse started acting strangely.
They would randomly disconnect and reconnect, only for much of their "apple" functionality...
Hello Apple friends.
This is on a Late 2015 5K iMac: I dual boot to Windows for diagnostics and to rest with games as leisure on sundays (after mass and charity work). I have a mechanical keyboard for Windows (Boot Camp) gaming (has numpad for games like GTA 5 and RPGs- the next upgrade would...
Something tells me that the new magic, keyboard, trackpad, and mouse with USB-C that we were expecting with the new iMac is going to be released alongside the new Mac mini with the M3 chip. Of course, Apple will announce it alongside their desktop that doesn’t come with any mouse and keyboard to...
Hello Mac friends, do rechargeable lithium-ion batteries leak if you leave it almost for months to even years in a mouse (it's a back-up Magic Mouse, the first Magic Mouse a back-up for the Magic Mouse) or gadget like a flashlight?
Thank you. Have a very blessed day and year.
This might sound like a dumb question, but is there a way to find a Magic Mouse with a Bluetooth app on an iphone? And if so, what would the name be? I think someone stole our Magic Mouse at work but it could be just misplaced. i tried finding the mouse with an an app, but wasn't sure what the...
Hi.
I got a work machine a while ago and was able to get it as far as High Sierra. Once installed I'd lost a few things, namely, I'm sure I had a little app at some point that stopped my Magic Mouse making those irritating little micro-movements when you release the button. It's driving me...
I just can't see spending 300.00 on a keyboard and mouse that uses a lighting connector to charge. Anyone have any thoughts on when Apple might release a new version of these devices?
Hi everyone,
I have an external wide screen monitor, a magic mouse and a magic keyboard.
I also have two macbook pros, one for work and one for personal usage.
When I start my day, I connect the monitor to my work mac, reset bluetooth and connect mouse and keyboard to my work mac.
When I...
My 7.1 has an issue, my apple Magic Mouse is lagging BAD. I can't reboot for 10 more days. I have unpaired and repaired the mouse and powered it on and off and plugged it in with the Lightning cable. I also tried another known good magic mouse, deleted mine from my 7.1 and tried that and It had...
Hi!
I love using the Magic mouse scrolling for large lists of folders and files in Finder, and for scrolling in web sites, but I really HATE the way scrolling ruins my work with Adobe Illustrator, specially when working with several docs that share the same size and I change from one to another...
I have a problem with my space grey magic mouse 2018 edition. The mouse pointer doesn't move well - sometimes it doesn't move for long. It's been like this for more than a year. Because I'm not doing design / drawing work I'm been okay.
Thinking of getting a new one but the space gray edition...
Just setting up a new desktop computer and the computer will not recognize the Magic Mouse that came with it. And tips on how to get them to be friends?
As a lifelong Windows user, I'm struggling to get used to my new iMac because of the mouse pointer. I can't stand Apple's acceleration and how it constantly slows down. Is there any quick fix for this to make the mouse pointer behave like it would in Windows?
I'm also struggling with the Magic...
Hi
I've just installed catalina on my unsupported Mac (Mac pro early 2008), but my magic mouse won't recognize gestures. The menu Gestures is missing.
Someone know how I can get it back ?
Thx.
My previous Intel-based iMac used a keyboard and mouse that used batteries. My new 24" M1 iMac of course has the wireless Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard. I'm just wondering if it's best to let these devices completely go dead before charging? What do most people do? Share them at 50% or let...
I know this is a known (and apparently longtime) issue, so I'm just adding my voice to the chorus. My M1 Mac mini was returned yesterday due to the unacceptably poor wireless mouse and keyboard performance. I feel bad for anyone getting their first Mac + Magic Keyboard & Magic Mouse thinking the...
