I replaced the WiFI/BTLE cards on both my 5,1 Mac Pro and mid 2012 MacBook Pro Retina. They now support watch unlock and I really like it.
Is there a card that fits the MacBook Air mid 2011? I would prefer not to patch drivers except for using CAT.
It looks like you could fit the card I used...
but it really isn't. Aside from the glaring differences (Siri), I don't even see much difference from El Capitan. Some tasks are even faster.
