According to iPhone 6 NAND benchmarks 4k random writes are only 1.5 MB/s. That's very slow. Solid state drives usually achieve 20-30 times the speed in the same test. Is there a reason why phone NAND can't be as fast? Is it a controller issue?
In short, this guy hacks a 5C by replacing the NAND chip with a clone and sets the amount of wrong codes to 0, giving him an infinite amount of wrong passwords without locking the device to infinity.
