So, when I go to Settings and check Battery, I frequently find certain apps, especially Podcasts and Books, showing lots of time in background activity!
Yet, I have Background Refresh turned off — both in general and for the apps.
For example, just now when I checked, it showed 13 minutes of...
With NVIDIA releasing their 3000 line of cards just a few days ago and AMD supposedly releasing their Big Navi RDNA2 chips later this year, I was wondering if Apple will refresh the GPU option on the iMac 2020 one last time.
Apple has done such a move before in the past with the iMac Pro. On...
First of all, this is my first post so I'm very happy to participate in this community!
I know this topic has been already on the forum, but after all the CV19 events and the many hardware issues that the MBP 16'' seems to have, do you think it is possible that Apple announces a refresh (better...
I was happy to see last week's refresh of the MacBook Air and Mac mini, and was wondering when you think the other Macs are due for an update. According to the MacRumors Buyers' Guide, the iMac should be having updates soon and is around it's normal timeframe for a new model.
The MacBook Pro...
I’m looking to swap my current iMac (late 2014) with a brand new one. There’s been a lot of updates and improvements since I got mine, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a new one. But since the last refresh was in March 2019, it doesn’t seem like the right time to invest (yet), so I was hoping...
What does everyone think about new iPad pros coming in October this year or is it possible the new model listings are for other iPads and the Pro won't get refreshed until next year... maybe spring?
Im thinking of buying a iPad pro now but I am debating that I should wait if a new model comes...
Periodically, product lines are discontinued and replaced with a new line for a wide range of reasons (e.g., change in processing architecture, new OS that is so different that using the computer is a completely new experience, radical new hardware redesign/feature implementation, responding to...
I installed IINA. From Command+I I set IINA as default media player for the *.mkv files but the finder is still showing the VLC icons in the preview.
How do I manually refresh them ?
P.S. I already tried restarting. Didn't help.
In Safari go to 'History'.
Then go all the way to the bottom and select 'Clear History...', if you want to keep website data, hold the [OPTION] key down while clicking.
Select an option from the drop down menu then press [Clear History].
Wait about a minute for the Top Sites to repopulate.
I'm looking forward to buy a new 13 inch retina MBP to replace my 2011 MacBook Pro 13. The question is should I wait for the new refreshed model(not sure when)or just go with the current one? I do hope the new one has better graphics performance.
Hi there,
Apologies if this exists somewhere already.
Is there a pattern to silent hardware releases / refresh ? In this case looking at the Macbook Retina but interested across the board.
Cheers.
I was set to get the IPAD Pro 9.7 even with 2GB ram but my plan got halted after watching this youtube video showing how much better the IPAD Pro 12.9 with 4GB ram was against the Air2 with 2GB ram.
I use my IPAD for Email, youtube, facebook but mainly for browsing and I open a LOT of tabs...

According to today's "Let Us Loop You In Event" no more major product announcements until Apple employees move into the futuristic Apple Campus II facility. Implies Mac line up refresh not till September / October 2016?
Tonight where I am (UK) is Apple's Spring announcement where we are expected to hear about a new iPhone, a new iPad and most probably, new watch straps.
However, in regards to the Mac Mini, are we expecting a refresh, are we expecting to be disappointed or are we frankly not giving a hoot...
