    Can 2020 MB PRO 13' support external monitor's 240hz?

I have a MB Pro 2020 13'. I also have an external monitor that supports 240hz. By default I am only able to display 144hz on the monitor when connected to my MB via HDMI on the adapter hub I have. However, I want to use the full 240hz since my monitor supports it. I am wondering if my monitor...

iPad iPad external monitor refresh rate support

Hello! Can an m1 ipad support a 120hz or 144hz monitor. For example, 1440 x 2560 at 144hz? What I’ve found is: People claim there is no software lock limiting it to 60hz People still can’t get it to work My theory is that we would need a Thunderbolt compatible monitor to enable this! The...

MacPro late 2013 with Monterey refresh rate? only 30Hz but in Bootcamp I can set to 60Hz

so, I have an unusual thing going on. Working on a Late 2013 MacPro with dual D500's and when in OSX Monterey I can set the resolution on a 43" Samsung up to 3840 x 2160 @30Hz. This is all done over HDMI to HDMI. I tried DP to HDMI because the Samsung doesn't have a DP, only HDMI. Funny thing...

iPhone 13 Pro ProMotion too aggressive with variable refresh rate?

Does anyone else feel that iOS is dipping the refresh rate down too often with ProMotion? ProMotion, like 120hz on other phones, varies the refresh rate to save battery when fast refresh rates are not needed. But, too often, I am noticing the screen dip down to lower refresh rates during fast...

Any way to force 120hz on MacBook Pro? And any way to check current refresh rate?

Hi, I had a couple of questions about the ProMotion 120hz displays. Can I force or ensure that the screen is 120hz (not adaptive)? I need this because the MacBook isn't adaptively ramping up to 120hz yet when they should be (more like 80hz or so). so I need to wait for Apple to adjust it. Is...

iPhone 13 Pro Max Touch sampling rate on the Pro models?

Have the Touch sampling rate been increased with the new 120Hz screens? I’ve seen no one mention it. Newer phones from Samsung and Xiaomi are going “up to” 480Hz.

LG-38950G Ultrawide w/ Macbook Pro 2020 at refresh rates higher than 60hz?

Hi there - I just got a new 13 inch Macbook Pro 2020 model. I'm hoping to use it at home with my gaming PC's ultra wide monitor, which is an lg38950g at it's high refresh rates. To that end, I've purchased both a usb-c to display port cable, as well as a usb-c multi-port dongle with HDMI...

Why does Apple still insist on 60 hz in Pro Display XDR, iMacs and MBPs?

60 hz refresh rate is very very old standard and most of the brands in market prefers 75 120 or 144hz values in their display products. There are lots of laptops with 75hz or above. But Apple still uses 60 hz on their products. The pro display xdr is the most advanced product of Apple but it has...

How to get used to 60Hz Displays again?

Wanted to buy a MacBook Pro so I went to the store to try one out. I have a 144Hz Monitor at home so the 60Hz Monitor felt very stuttery and incredibly cheap to me. I like MacBooks in theory and would love to buy one but I can’t bring myself to spend a premium on something feeling dirt cheap to me.

MacBook Pro 16'' : Refresh rate dropdown menu not displaying

Hi, Just bought a brand MacBook Pro 16 yesterday. After updating the supplemental update (Build 19B2106), I noticed that the Refresh rate drop down menu was not displaying in the display menu of the command center. Have any of you encountered the same problem ? Is there a fix ? Thanks a lot !

Will there ever be MacBook Pros (or Macs) with refresh rates higher than 60Hz?

They already made the jump to 120Hz on iPad right? I'd love to make the jump to Macintosh computing but the refresh rate is a deal breaker. Due to my Windows set-up I am used to 144Hz refresh rates and hence everything else looks very cheap and stuttery to me.

Hello everyone. Several months ago I built a gaming PC and connected it to an Acer XF270HUA monitor. It's stunning: 1440p, 144Hz, 4ms, IPS, FreeSync, thin bezels. I like it. I like it so much that I wanna connect my MacBook Pro to it when I'm not gaming and simply use it as my main monitor...

I can't seem to find a concrete answer nor solution to this question. So I figured I had ask (March 2019) so that everyone later can have a clear answer. My laptop's specification: - MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) - 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 - 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 - Radeon Pro 560 4096 MB Can...
