I want to try to use my iPad as a full-fledged computer, I bought the new M4.
Works. Doesn't have many advantages over the old A12z, but it works.
I was interested in the assessment of the new Magic Keyboard. Came across the following review and was taken aback...
Very straight forward set up. Download Nugget or build it for your respective platform. Fetch config from device. Use nugget to modify and push config to device. Nugget reboots your device. Stage manager enabled. This will NOT persist through OS updates. You will need to remain on 18.1 to use...
I thought I was finally in love with stage manager when my iPad stopped reverting back to mirrored display after I updated to 18. But now I am noticing a lot of issues:
-keyboard shortcuts sometimes don’t work
-sometimes apps show in the dock on both screens when open on only one
-sometimes the...
I have a list of bugs that I am curious if anyone else is seeing. All of these, so far, appear while using stage manager with a satechi keyboard and a magic track pad. Some are existing some seem new since iPadOS 17.2. I am not running beta software. M1 iPad Pro 12.9
New:
-Sometimes the...
19,1 iMac, Sonoma 14:
I need help from someone running the beta of Sonoma. I want to send feedback to Apple about Stage Manager. There is no place to send feedback on the Apple Support page for Sonoma system. If anyone running BETA Sonoma would help, and send my feedback. The Stage Manager...
Hello all,
Perhaps a very specific question.
Does anyone use the VMWare Horizon client with Stage Manager? Have you tried it on an external display?
My work is locked into using Windows. Is it easy to work with Windows and iOS apps?
A common use is utilizing Notion or Zoom while logged into...
Hey everyone, I often find myself losing track of what I'd been thinking about or working on in any given project because iPadOS does not have the ability to lock (a combination of) windows in place in either the App Switcher or Stage Manager, in a way you might with Spaces in Mission Control on...
Ever since iPadOS 16.1 (and persisting now in 17 RC), while using Stage Manager the dock will occasionally flash. It looks more or less like if you used the “killall Dock” command on MacOS to relaunch it. Has anyone else experienced this or knows of any fix?
Currently i'm using a Macbook Air M1 connected to a Monitor over a single USB-C cable (65W Power Delivery and DP Alt-Mode Video)
I'm planning to use my 12" iPad Pro M1 device and Magic Keyboard as desktop system and replace the MBA.
Today i connected the iPad Pro to the USB-C cable from my...
Not sure if this is a PSA or a rant
I bought my Ultrafine 5K at the same time as my 2020 Intel Mac Mini and the combo worked flawlessly.
I just switched to a 256GB iPad Air 5 (M1) as my primary computer and the 5K is worthless with it. For almost every connection, the 5K mirrors...
Recentrly switched to Ventura 13.1 coming from Mavericks. Been on it for only a week. Trying all the new OS features including Stage Manager but so far in my real life situations I am not finding it better than Mission Control for bringing up my window apps and selecting the one I need to work...

Even after doing a DFU restore and setting my iPad Pro as new, I’m still running into two bugs that I have not seen mentioned anywhere, so I wanted to check if others have stumbled into them as well.
While using stage manager, the dock will at random times (feels like about once an hour, though...
Hello everyone,
I’ve been looking at a 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the 3rd generation model, from 2018.
How is the performance on these iPads as of today?
The Apple A12X in these is a very capable processor, but they have 4GB of memory. This amount definitely seems low in theory, although the 4th...
I have iPad Pro 11 iOS 16.1.1
Stage Manager app initially worked as designed but now it has an issue with 'Recent apps' and 'Dock'.
It doesn’t have effect. I simply don’t see it.
Restarting iPad didn’t help.
How to fix it?
What could cause it to work before but failed after?
Thanks
Yes, it’s still a little buggy sometimes, but it’s still a brand-new feature that necessitates a complete redesign of window management while still maintaining backwards-compatibility with Split View and SlideOver for users who prefer to use those - it’s bound to be buggy for a while. Ultimately...
Something is clearly off, because interacting with the dimmed window in what was once "Split View" won't make it "active", only stretching it back and forth. But then, it puts the other window "in background". I am on 12.9" 2021 model, latest public release.
example: the window on the right...
I am starting to like Space Manager and am attempting to replace it for my approach to spaces. I tend to use groups of apps together such as Mail, Messages, Calendar, and so on.
The problem is that this is volatile
Has anybody run across any utilities to manage this? Stage Manager does not...
I might be missing something here; I just don't understand what the benefit of Stage Manager is when Spaces offers similar benefits.
Stage Manager puts app windows into 'clusters' that can be switched on the fly using a menu on the left (which, I should point out, hurts to look at).
But Spaces...

Is this happening to anyone else? Since the September Ventura beta releases stage manager has screwed up my desktop icon alignment. They won’t settle on the side of the screen. This is so annoying.
