With what would've been Steve Jobs' 69th birthday upon us, I share the gallery of photos I took at the closest of my local Apple Stores (Clarendon, VA (DC area)) on "that evening" and days following, back in October 2011. Myriad notes of love and tribute posted by Apple folks...
What do you think of this?
I agree that Tim carried the company to greatness from a financial perspective but he certainly lowered its standards in other areas that Steve succeeded at beautifully.
If you compare between the Announcement of the iPhone and the Announcement of the Vision Pro. You know the iPhone is still the most important product for Apple.
What does everyone think Apple would look like? Personally I think we would have had more aesthetically pleasing and functional products. Vision Pro would never have happened. Jonny Ives would not have left.
Or would Steve have be pushed out of the company like in the 80’s?
Thoughts?
Steve Jobs and Japan is a documentary produced by Japan's public broadcaster NHK in 2023, including exclusive interviews with Bill Fernandez (Steve's friend and first employee of Apple), John Sculley (former Apple CEO), Satjiv Chahil (Apple's former senior vice president) and Hartmut Esslinger...

On September 7th, 2005 Apple helt a "Special" event, revealing both iTunes 5 and the iPod nano.
Originally, the keynote ended with Steve Jobs inviting Kanye West up on the stage to perform two songs from his new album "Late Registration" in an attempt to promote both the album and the new iPod...
Way back in 1998, This happened to Bill Gates while presenting hot pluggable devices. Was there ever an incident like this that happened to Steve Jobs?! Maybe a kernel panic? (probably not because they occur way less than BSOD)
Steve said (not sure when, but seems to be a couple of years prior to his passing as he was quite skinny) re the iPad, but I think this is across the board for Apple products due to their more premium pricing.
"...that's what a lot of customers pay us to do. We try to make the best...

On a personal note, I feel like Apple has been super greedy and not innovative enough to justify their price hikes.
With the recent MacBook Pro Late 2016 release I was gutted with disappointment on this refresh.
Stupid and simple things like not being able to plug in your iPhone without an...
This guy really nails the problem with Apple right on the head. It is a shame that a company that works so hard to cultivate the "Cult of Steve" (Jobs) has strayed soooooo far from his vision. It's all kitch and brand name now. If I had the money and needed a new MacBook Pro, I would be actively...
What do you guys think of his performance until now? Will he be able to continue Apple's success?

Back in 2005 at WWDC, Steve Jobs revealed in dramatic taste, how OS X was developed to be processor agnostic from its inception. Early hints of this can be found in developer previews of OS X, which let developers target either PowerPC or Intel development. Even ancestor of OS X, NextStep and...
