1.0 to 1.1.1

I have firmware version 1.0 on my iphone but i want 1.1.1 with the itunes music store.

1st is there a way i can update it without itunes?
2nd what features will i lose if i update?

1. You have too use iTunes to update
2. You will gain many features, like the dobule-tap home button feature, and also the iTunes store, like you mentioned. If you decided to jail-break 1.11, you would gain even more features
