Ever since I updated to 1.1.3 my phone will not connect and stay connected to my Garmin GPS. I have tried restarting the phone and GPS and get the same result with my iPhone and my dads iPhone. Has anyone else had any Bluetooth issues with 1.1.3?

I looked over at the Apple forums and it seems that a lot of people are not able to connect with GPS units after the update. Anyone that has had this issue and fixed it, please let me know what you did.

Yes - I posted the exact same problem yesterday, but I'm re-doing it so it's on this thread.

Garmin nuvi 680, with the new update bluetooth turns on and off every 15-30 seconds. Not knowing why...

Same here. Have a Nuvi 680. Worked great before 1.1.3. After, it would repeatedly drop the connection. Did some research and restored the phone as if it was new. Worked for awhile but now back to the same problem. Hope Apple gets their "stuff" together and figure this out.

NUvi 680 same issue

The bluetooth phone access is alls crewed up after 1.1.3. Drops the bluetooth connection for the first 10-15 minutes it is connected then it seems to stabilize.

What did they do with Bluetooth in 1.1.3 that screwed this up!

I waited 30 minutes for it to "stabilize", but it didn't. Went to the Geniuses at Apple, they suggested I turn on Airplane mode, then try to turn on bluetooth, said that's what they would do first. They also said they have not heard of this problem so far.

P.S. Didn't work for me

I did a restore on my phone (as a new phone) through iTunes. This worked for a few days, now it is back to it's on and off connection to my Garmin Nuvi 680.

If you watch the bluetooth screen on the iPhome, it shuts itself off and on randomly.

Does Apple know this is happening???

Prior to 1.1.3, I could listen to podcasts or music via bluetooth on my handsfree in the car by selecting the BT receiver instead of the internal speaker, from the iPhone Voicemail screen.

Now, only the cellphone audio connection will play and any other audio sources from the iPhone aren't broadcast any more. Granted this was probably an "undocumented feature" all along, but it was really handy to have a wireless link to the iPhone's iPod audio even if it was in mono.
