1.1.3 unlocking question

I read around and clearly we can't software unlock 1.1.3 because of BL 4.6 but is it true that you can hardware unlock it using the StealthSim or one of those type of solutions?

And using one of those (Xsim, Stealthsim, etc...) do you just do whatever you ahve to do with your own sim to prepare it then put it in?

Jailbroken 1.1.3 here with StealthSIM on the Rogers network in Canada. I upgraded with the official Dev team release through Installer from a JB 1.1.2. I never attempted to soft-unlock it ever, for the very reason of not messing with the actual baseband. I figured that would be safest, because that means I'm taking software imperfections out of the equation when upgrading to 1.1.3 or any future version.

My iPhone is running 1.1.3 software with 1.1.2 baseband.
