Bloomberg says 200,000 iPhones were sold on the first day.

If half that pace was kept up, iPhone would hit 1 million units sold within weeks, two million within months. That is over a billion dollars.

I am amazed. No wonder Hollywood is interested. I think only Star Wars and Titanic hit a billion dollars in ticket sales.

I wonder if Apple can keep up with demand at this rate?

200,000 first day; 500,000 by next weekend? A million in a couple months? They'll probably be at 1.5 million right before the announcement for European support, and then boom, you have your ~3 million sold within a year.

I wonder how many DID sell this weekend? I should have said that maybe a half million could be sold by now...
