1.5TB Internal Drive on iMac

I have a 24" Alu iMac and recently noticed that Seagate made a 1.5TB drive. I've done some searching around and have not found any information on this.

Can I install the Seagate 1.5TB drive in the iMac without a problem? Or will there be some kind of limitation that I don't know about?

The hardest part is opening the iMac up to install the drive and them putting it back together.

I think you ought to hold off until the Seagate firmware issue is resolved. It seems to be restricted to certain Oxford controllers, but there is a possibility that the iMac's controller might also have some issues.

I was going to buy a 1tb drive and iMac at BB. They said it was $50 for the install of the drive. Might be worth your time and anquish of diy... They want to charge u for os install, but that's too easy.
