Hey everyone, Happy New Years.
Ok, just so you know I did several searches, and mixed up the search topics (just like google, the info is out there, you just have to know what to look for...and sometimes you just don't have luck)
However, I think I remember reading a few topics (I didn't read the threads, just the titles) about DVD Player, Leopard, and freezing?
Anywho, when I'm watching a movie on my laptop screen, and am working on something else on the external screen, at some point the movie will freeze, my program stops working and the mouse moves through molasses. I can't right click and key commands don't work.
I end up having to hold down the power button for a force shut down. This has happened several times, otherwise, the computer runs fine.
[1] Anyone else have this problem? Know what it is? Could having only 25mb of RAM left due to a ton of work eventually catch up to the machine?
[2] I came from Windows a year ago, but I'm still acclimating myself and learning a ton about OSX (and now Leopard). Does force shut down hurt the Mac? I know in Windows it can screw things up. Other than (logically) lost data of whatever you were working on, does force shutting down a Mac harm it OS wise?
