All iPads (1) How do I sync the photo album on iphone with ipad? (2) Photo loading issues

Hi All,

Started using my ipad since last night. I've done quick start using my iphone and got in ok.


I'm having 2 issues though:
1. Loading photos from iphone, via USB, to the Ipad
2. Syncing the photo albums on iphone with ipad


Can you advise please?

Details of what I've done is below:


1. Loading photos from iphone, via USB, to the Ipad

I have 30Gb, 10 years worth of photos, and the 30Gb of photos are on my iphone

I have really slow broadband so I am trying to load photos from iphone, via USB, to the Ipad.

I've tried a couple of times, and it seems that the ipad is importing alot of the photos as thumbnails. The photos download slowly each time i click on one of these duds

Also, a bit worrying, the most recent photos are the ones most affected, and they are also out of order at the moment. Are the photos basically downloading slowly from i-cloud, and will hopefully will sort themselves out once it is all done.

What am I doing wrong?
Is there a better way of doing this?




2. Syncing the photo folders on iphone with ipad?

I've made some efforts at creating albums on my iphone

However, these are not appearing on the ipad.

What am I doing wrong?

Is there a setting somewhere I need to click on?



Can you guys point me to decent Llnks I can follow. The apple pages I've looked at so far are simply stating that the above 2 items should work, but no troubleshooting things I can try

The easiest way to sync your photos and albums is to use iCloud Photo Library. You can enable this in Settings > Your Name/Apple ID at the top > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photos. You can read more about setting this up and how it works here:
