1 iPhone and 2 Touches- 1 app purchase for all 3, or no?

Im sorry to make this a confusing title, but here is the jist of the idea.

I have 1 iPhone and 2 Touches for my wife and children. If I purchase 1 app, can it be downloaded to all 3 devices or does it have to be purchased 3 times? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

If they're all syncing with the same computer and same iTunes account then you only have to buy one copy of each app.

you can run the same apps you purchased on all three
just login with the same id/pw in the app store
after you have purchased an app once, app store won't charge you for downloading again

Yes all my apps/games I use for mine, my wife's and my brothers. I wonder if I can do 2 more and wonder if 5 is the limit. Perhaps I'll find out soon enough.
