1. iWeb site: blurry image problem; please help!

Hi all.
I'm new to this site, and hope somebody can help me.
Today I started my iWeb site. http://web.mac.com/mkmorari/ That's the link.
I published a new, self-made banner, only to find it completely blurry!
Why is that? Could somebody help? Would be nice.
Some info to the banner-file:

600x135 pixels
resolution 300x300ppi
16.7million colors (RGB, 32 Bit)
compression: 1:5 (<--- that might be it, how can I change it to 1:1?)
I use GraphicConverter.

You saved the banner too small then made it bigger in iWeb. Make it the sixe you want, then export into iWeb.

iWeb compresses all of the images when you export it or upload it to .Mac, so you are probably just compressing it twice to make it look like that.

Hm thanks for the fast replies. The thing is that its sharp in iWeb. Only on the Internet it's blurry.
I tried out some stuff, then converted it to JPEG and voilá! It worked. Could it be that iWeb doesn't support .pct very well? Or is that just a crappy format?

I've never heard of .pct, or if I have, I don't remember anything about it.

Your website looks fine. There really isn't much there right now. It is hard to tell by looking at your site who your intended audience is supposed to be. It kind of looks like right now you are just doing reviews for the heck of it without much purpose. I guess you need to do something unique because there are tons of websites that do reviews like yours.

Ok, thanks alot! You're actually right, I really don't know where this site is going... At the moment I don't have time to update it (school...).
Do you have any "unique" ideas I could use? Or maybe just something to get my mind rolling?
