Hi All !
I probably missed something...

My situation is:
- myname@me.com (used to sync macbook, ipad etc...) and iDisk,
- myname@gmail.com (used as iTunes and Appstore Id).

From what i understood, if i move my me.com to iCloud, i will lose idisk which is something i would really like to avoid. I need iDisk.

I upgraded my iPad to iOs5 and i am then now able to create an iCloud Id.

Should i input my "myname@gmail.com" and move this to iCloud ?
Or create a new one from scratch (but in this case i'll loose my previous purchase on both iPad, macbook etc...).

In the case i create a new iCloud account, will i be able to migrate my MobileMe account to iCloud and merge it with the newly created ?

In any case, the most important for me is to keep iDisk.

Thanks for your inputs on that,

iDisk will die June 2012. Do you use your me.com address for anything other then iDisk? If so, and you want to continue then you may want to convert it to iCloud at http://www.me.con/move. You will still be able to use iDisk until June 2012 after the move. If you want to drop me.com then you could use your gmail id for iclould and iTunes. In any case continue to use your gmail I'd for iTunes.

thank you d21 mike.

In fact i use MobileMe mainly for idisk (but i really appreciate the ability to sync mail app perf and account and the keychain sync).
Currently my me.com account is used to sync the ical and address stuff but the email is never "published", i transfer gmail and other avvount to it to keep the mails on me.com's imap server.

I have to understand what will happen with my me.com account before creating an iCloud Id based on my @gmail.com iTunes ID.
