Hey all.

In June I'll be in California for 3 weeks, and am hoping to get some sort of Mobile Broadband (or tethering - enabled on my handset) going to use when I'm there. I figure it'll be cheaper than using lots of wifi hotspots, and will work on the move too.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reasonable product? Obviously I won't be signing up for any contract, but a 30 day one might be ok. I have an iPhone 3GS and an unlocked 3G USB stick. Do AT&T offer a no-commitment / 30 day iPhone plan? That way I could use the SIM for data and the occasional call... Or perhaps a Pay as You Go scheme with reasonable data rates?

Over here (UK) such a product might cost £20-30 for a few gigs valid for 30 days, but I know the US is a bit backward when it comes to cell pricing and data in particular so I'm preparing to be horrified by what you guys get charged?

Thanks in advance everyone :)
