Hello.

I have been using an Apple Watch SE 2, which for my basic needs is more than enough.
I never had trouble with it, but latetly I noticed some serious issue with charging (using the original apple puck).
I'm sure the charger works fine as it's able to charge the airpods case.

Basically what happens is that the charging icon is displayed as if it were charging, but fails to do so.
Actually, most of the time, the battery even drains.
For example I put che watch to charge at 40% and after 1 hour the battery is at 34%.
The charging animation and icon are displayed all the time.
Tried attaching the puck to different chargers, computers and power outlets, but no luck.

Naturally this makes the watch unusable, as with some luck I can manage to get a charge 1 every 10 attempts, but this makes using ther watch for fitness impossible, as most of the time when I'm ready to work out, it's dead.
And I cannot spend hours randomly waiting for it to charge, as I have a job and a schedule.

I tried cleaning the puck, cleaning the sensor of the watch, double checking the connection, but nothing.

Do you have any ideas? Is this a software issue tha I can expect begin fixed?
Thanks.

The power brick and/or the charging cable might needs to be replaced.
Weirdly enough, the apple watch only seems to recharge reliably on a specific usb-c port of my mac studio M1 Ultra.
This is fine for my needs, however it's weird.

First because all the ports work well (tested them), and second because all the power adapters I tested work well.

Go figure...

I found out that you need to use a specific power adaptor that can provide sufficient juice to charge (or quick charge) the watch. The USB-C socket on my late model clock radio can charge the apple watch using the cable came with Watch 6 (slow charge) and not the cable came with watch 7 (fast charge).
