I'm getting sick of everybody going around "Where's 10.1.3?" Why don't you guys just all shut it and have patience. When it comes out, you probably won't even notice anything new to your computer when you upgrade. Maybe like one more CDRW that works or something, but basically it's just one of those "pointless" upgrades.

What I'm looking forward to is 10.2. If 10.1 from 10.0 was/is a major upgrade, just think what 10.2 from 10.1 could be. Maybe speed that is equivalent to OS 9? I hope so.

Just stop complaining....Be thankful that your OS doesn't freeze 3 times a day and that it doesn't look like Windows.

...Oh, and don't even tell me that Windows XP looks similar to Mac OS X. I will hunt you down and find you and kill you....

A little passive aggresive, aren't we? Reminds me of a coworker I once had...If you :) cross me :) one more time :) you'll pay :).

I've posted this before, but I'm excited about every little upgrade Apple will give me for OS X. Every time they have an upgrade, they fix a few more bugs, cause me a few less GUI/Finder/Dock/App crashes, and make OS X a better system. You can bet your sweet a** that I'm excited.

And how about the feature I've been waiting for since OS X came out: the ability to play DVDs on my TV from my TiBook. I just about soiled myself in excitement when I heard about that feature of 10.1.3.

I think you need a cup of Camomile tea and a good nights rest. One of those squishy stress balls might help too.

Sorry, XP does look like X, I live in Orlando.

I want 10.1.3 because it fixes a fade in and out of black bug on LCDs, so it's not pointless to me and I will notice a difference.

We go around saying this on this site because its a BLOODY rumors site you idiot.

to tell you the truth, i dont really think os 9 is any faster than 10.1.x. os 10.1 runs just fine and smooth on any "sensible" apple computer i've seen. and with ram prices cheap (but not cheaper) these days, os 10.1 will run sweeeeet. os 9 is dead, long live aqua.

You can play DVDs on your TV with your TiBook in OS X. Just open display prefs, and in the panel where you arrange the displays, just drag the menubar over to the TV instead of the LCD. The DVD will play on whichever screen the menubar is on. I think. I'm not sure whether or not you already knew you could do that, and it is kind of a kludgey workaround, but it works for me at least.

What *I* want is the ability to run my TiBook with the lid closed, display off, with an external monitor and keyboard/mouse in OS X, without having to reboot. I can do it in OS 9, but I never use OS 9, so that doesn't do me any good.

And I want processor cycling, and I want to be able to play audio CDs without them spinning super fast, and I want to have my mouse speed saved whenever I unplug it or reboot, and... and... and...

OS 9 is MUCH "faster" than os 10.1.2. It is much more responsive. Whenever I do use os 9 at work, I feel like everything's like instantaneous as opposed to os X where things lag a little bit, i've kinda gotten used to it though. If you think OS X runs fine on any "sensible" macs, just open up os 9, it'll run even faster.

OS9 may be **nippier** but OSX benifits when realised are amazing. I would not go back from OSX to 9 now.

LONG LIVE OSX!

I've never gotten that to work. Lord knows I've tried. The only way I've found to play DVDs on the TV is to reboot and shut the case during the bong. If it wasn't for this I'd never reboot my machine and its quite annoying for me. Plus the display acts kind of odd after I do that so I have to reboot again to get things back to normal.

*sigh* My life is so difficult.

A bit hostil but

I see your point. Im not so sure why people are want to install 10.1.3 so bad. Its arround on the net but Im not going to install it untill its been officaly Kissed my Jobs. I only have on Mac running OS X and its my primary Box... I can afford to be down if some Apple internal Beta of an OS gets leaked out and ends up on my Box. I dont know where is came from!

And OS X does not look like XP... XP is trying badly to look more and more like a Mac. But the only problem is... the GUI team seem to have no tast.

I want 10.1.3 just because I know how useful 10.1.2 was to me... It introduced PC-Card support which meant I could finally read CompactFlash cards in my PowerBook.

10.1.2 was a big upgrade for me, so I'm hoping 10.1.3 will be equally impressive!

I'm fairly excited because the drivers that are included. More compatability with X is always good. Plus, there are always those slight speed enhancements. Why not get excited about it?
