Hi,

Since updating to 10.10.2, my battery life has dropped by two hours - even when idling. Nothing unusual going on in Activity Monitor, have fully shut-down and even performed a battery diagnostic test. All fine, as they were before.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm on an Early 2011 MacBook Pro 15", 2GHz.

shows over 7 hours in my icon but it has done that before and still lasted up to 9 so not sure if it has changed or I just noticed this..?

I'm getting 3:31 at 91%, only have Safari active (two tabs) and Mail is hidden. On 10.10.1, I was getting at least another hour and a half.

Edit: Now 4:01 at 90%. I'm still down compared to before, though.

2.8 13" MBPr easily getting 8 hours on the battery; Word, excel, multiple windows and numerous tabs Safari, same Preview, Mail, Calendar, Activity Monitor, Skype on & off, VPN, AV, display @ 75%, keyboard illumination @ 5 min, plenty of other normal usage.

Right now 30 minutes on battery and over 8 hours forecast, close down some apps and drop the brightness can squeeze 10 hours which is very respectable. Super impressed, been in Romania for a month on a field job and have never needed the power supply in the day yet. My 13" MBPr easily outstrips my 2012 15" Retina

As for the 15" Retina, around the 6-7 hour mark, will need to check once back home, don't observe any drop between 10.10.1 & 10.10.2

FWIW mine is a business machine so it`s used when it`s needed, overly conserving the battery is not the concern, productivity is...

wow that is odd. I know the estimates jump but that seems quite a bit less battery
