10.10 Syrah - Oldest supported computer predictions?

So, going off of Maverick's supported list:

iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
MacBook (13" Late 2008 Aluminum, Early 2009 or later)
MacBook Pro (13" Mid-2009 or later)
MacBook Pro (15" Mid/Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Pro (17" Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
Xserve (Early 2009)

What is the prediction for the oldest computer that can run 10.10? Since it's to be expected that Syrah will have more iOS like gradients and design elements, I'm sure that a more powerful graphics card would be required to run it 100% (i.e. no feature disabled).

I'm sure my current MacBook Pro (Late 2011) will support 10.10 fully (other than the features introduced in ML/Mavericks that require the newer hardware), but considering the changes made and the fact that this computer only has an Intel HD 3000, I'm slightly worried.

Apple said they wanted even more Macs to run the latest hardware so they lowered the minimum specs, but how low can 10.10s be lowered before the experience is ruined?

My feeling is that Apple will cut support for a lot of devices, however the 2011 MacBook Pros will be supported.

They may very well drop all Core 2 Duo processors and only support devices with a Nehalem (or newer) micro-architecture in the next OS X (i.e. 10.10?) upgrade.

In that event, the following models would be supported.

Mac Pro (Early 2009 or newer)
iMac (Late 2009 (iMac11,1 only), Mid 2010 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 (15" and 17" only) or Early 2011 or newer)
MacBook Air (Mid 2011 and newer)
Mac Mini (Mid 2011 and newer)

Apple said they wanted as many macs as possible to run Mavericks. I'm assuming that this is referring to OS X 10.9 only (since it was not a major upgrade from Mountain Lion).

What are your thoughts?

With one exception, since the late 1990s, Apple has always supported all of their devices sold for a minimum of three (3) years!

I think this is very possible given apples push to keep as many computer as possible on Mavericks.

However, it may have more to do with graphic cards than the CPUs. We shall see.
