Since the update my battery life has been worse. On 10.11.1 i had around 6-8 hours of battery life, now no matter what i can't get more than 5

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

How long have you been after update? In my case, it took about 24 hrs for the system to finish indexing etc and going back to normal.

Yeah, I went from 9-10 hours to 7.5-8. Not super sizable drop, but enough to make me upset about the battery life. I mean I can milk Windows 10 for 6-6.5, 7.5 from OS X is pitiful.

I upgraded from 10.9.5 and found 10.11.2 is cooler (same temp with under Mavericks) when I turn off iCloud Drive (not iCloud). It has been also 5 days. If iCloud Drive is active, the temp is around 60-70, and easily get higher when any apps running to access the iCloud Drive. I have also Dropbox running but doesn't have any issue.

It isn't iCloud Drive because I don't use iCloud. I'm pretty sure the issue is something to do with 10.11.2.

I can confirm battery got better in the last day, probably it was due to the system working in background after the update
