Hello everyone,

I'm trying to do a fresh install of the latest El Capitan from a bootable USB for a friend. Only problem is that I can't find the darn official dmg file. I see torrents but they're all different sizes and I don't trust those sources.

Is there an official or trusted link to download the dmg from?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

The only official way is Apple's. Just download it from your "purchased" tab in the App Store, assuming you installed it in the past. Or ask another friend who has downloaded and installed El Capitan previously to give you a copy...
