I've never done clean installs for updates like this, although I've also never done them for major upgrades either. 10.12.4 installed quickly and successfully for me.

Always best to have a backup, though!

Bricked my Mac, had to CMD+R and reinstall OS, took a while but I didn't lose any of my stuff. Update was installed fine after that.

I've DL 10.12.4 from the App Store and was going to make a usb installer, but I can't find the DL, it's not in the app folder. I haven't been very active here in quite some time (my Apple gear just works), but did I miss something since 10.12.2 when I last did a clean install. I got the installer open and it's on my HDD somewhere.
