I have tried to install 10.15.5 update 10 times.
The procedure seems OK (reboot, etc). But the OS version remains 10.15.4, and the same 10.15.5 update notification stays in the System prefs.
Any hint ?
Thanks a lot to help.

Are you able to delete the update and try re-downloading it again from System Preferences/Software Update? I'm not sure what version's available in the App Store, might still be 10.15.4, but you can search for Catalina in the App Store and download it from there. It'll put it as an app in the Applications Folder.

I update 10.15.5 today,

it reboots and screen on and off a few times and it shows cache screen which is same as screen before reboot.

but it updated successfully in 15 minutes.

I suggest you could download latest Catalina 10.15.5 installer and make bootable usb with Catalina Installer.
and reinstall whole os if eventually you could not update in usual way.

Try installing the 10.15.5 combo update.
