Help! I've got a icebook (500mHz) that was cruising along just fine. I downloaded 10.2.8 thru software update, figuring that if they re-released it, I shouldn't have any problems, right? Well, it installed, and I haven't been able to start the computer since.

At first, I got nothing but a blue screen. Brought the book home, tried re-installing 10.1, it crashed near the end of the system optomizing. I then remembered that I had my Jaguar disks at home; now it can't find the disk. (Disk utility in the installer says that the hard drive is unmounted - when I click on Mount, nothing happens.)

Any thoughts and/or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

10.2.8 (SE) and FireWire

Since the update of the 'new' 10.2.8 i have serieus firewire issues. To check if it was the external HDs or the G4 I hooked it up to an different G4 and it works fine there. Never had problems with the Firewire HDs before.
It just doesn't mount. And when it does it falls of the desktop after a few minutes with a warning to follow. Help?
By the way. I get really pissed off with these permission repairs.
