Hey, I wanted to let everyone know that Maury over at www.railheaddesign.com has posted an excellent assortment of 10.2 screenshots, with some stuff that I have not seen yet. He also has a brief summary of each shot. They will not be their long, as Apple tends to jump on him pretty quick.

they are gone know and I hope most of you saw em cause they had small movies as well and some unseen pics and he said that mac os x 10.2 felt really fast and powerful but the main word is fast

Yes they're still up. Some cool stuff there... I like to little movies at the end. Can you image how bad that would have looked in 10.0?

Chug...

Chug...

Chug...

I like all of the digital hub stuff in the System Preferences. Maury always has great screenshots of stuff. I agree that the key thing that he has said is that it is fast! Lets hope!

More to come from apple

The look of 10.2 is very promising, apple has got a lot of stuff planned out. Since it is having a Digital Hub preference pane, we are going to see more devices. I cant wait for this upgrade ..

What I'm not clear on...

Will 10.2 have performance increases across the board, or will only those who can take advantage of Quartz Xtreme see things get "snappier"?

The people that I have talked to say across the board. One developer has it on an iBook Indigo, and he said it is faster, but doesn't have problems. Another developer, said an entire day without a beachball!!!!!!!

All in all, I think it is looking good. We will see soon....

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

What is with the cursor in the movies, are we seeing a new cursor in OSX.2?

Ensign

it has a shadow now

x.2 Cursor

The new shadowed mouse cursor looks exactly like the one I can set up in Windows XP. And it is very very nice to use. What sets the XP version apart from Mac practice is that WinXP allows a range of pointer sizes.

I would dearly love MacOS X.2 to give us the ability to use larger pointers. The reason for that is the tiny Mac cursor frequently is lost on my 1600x1200 Mac CRT display
