10.5.1 broke my mbp

installed 10.5.1 update now when i boot i only get the setup assistant should i just install a fresh 10.5. if i complete setup assistant it just goes back to start of set up assistant

typing on my old mac mini g4 with onscreen keyboard=[

need to have wrote an essay by monday =[
