Ever since I updated to 10.5.5 my Sims 2 have been crashing sporadically. It usually happens when the Sims have a baby, drive to work, or go to college. I uninstalled the base game and all expansion packs, reinstalled, and I'm still having that same problem. Googled and can't find an answer. Help please!

Mac OS X 10.5.5 Killed my Second Life

I feel for you...

I really started getting into Second Life, now it won't even Login.

Not sure if this is related, but I also updated both Java Updates.

Ever since I made these updates, I don't even get a chance to login before the entire Login screen crashes.

I have searched the http://www.secondlife.com as well as Apple Forums like this one, but have found no one commenting about it.

Throughout my time with the Mac, I have noticed that "eventually" their seems to always be an upcoming "Update" that seems to fix the problem.

On another note, my Firefox Browser also took a dive.

I did the same "Troubleshooting 101" as you did...

I went ahead and did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Second Life as well as Firefox from their appropriate websites.

Both of these applications no longer work...

These are two of my favorite applications that I can no longer use.

If anyone has a clue or suggestion of a fix to my problems, please post a reply to this thread.

Maybe the fix to your Sims issue can also fix my Second Life and Firefox Problems.

Much thanks.

Peace...

My only comfort is knowing that an update will come ... eventually. I wish I could downgrade to 10.5.4 until then though.

I'll post if I find a solution.
