I noticed the same thing. maybe it'll take time to adjust to the extra weight.Any iPad Pro 10.5” got theirs and it feels kinda heavy to hold? I don’t mind it at all, used to holding the 12.9”, it just kinda caught me by surprise.
Feels quite heavy with the Smart Keyboard. Much lighter with the Smart Cover. This is proving to be a bit of a deal breaker for the keyboard tbh,
Oh that sucks. I don’t have any accessories yet and was looking into getting the Smart Keyboard. Guess I will try it out at the store first and see how I feel.
The 10.5 weighs a pound, folks have to decide if they can deal with the Smart Keyboard. It ain't the iPad that is heavy.
It's amazing people are whining over a device that weighs in at one pound. One pound. Wow, as if carrying a device that's 1.5 pounds (with covers, etc) is difficult. My 10.5" is arriving tomorrow morning. Looking forward to holding a device that's only a pound heavy. I used to have laptops that weighted ten pounds.
Depends on usage. If you're just lugging it around inside a bag, 1.5 pounds isn't bad. It's amazing people are whining over a device that weighs in at one pound. One pound. Again, no one was whining. As people have been saying, the little extra weight caught some of us by surprise. Stop whining. It's amazing people are whining over a device that weighs in at one pound. Agreed, the laptop I described, would in American units weigh in at 14 pounds. It's amazing people are whining over a device that weighs in at one pound. One pound. If you're holding it for hours on end while reading, then yeah, it gets heavy, particularly when you have carpal tunnel and tennis elbow.
Yep. The weight is what I love most about the iPad mini (~300g) but the Kindle still has it beat on that front. I've had a Kindle Oasis on my wishlist since its announcement. Just can't justify the price point given I often opt for the convenience of iPads over the comfort of dedicated e-ink readers.Even with the 1 pound iPad, it doesn't make sense to use it for long periods of time without resting it on something. Unwieldy to hold and puts undue stress on your hands/arms.
That’s weird. I feel like there’s little difference at all between my 9.7 and my 10.5. Granted I have a screen protector on my 9.7 so I’m sure that added a little weight. Non-factor for me...but that promotion. Woowee silky smoooth!
