Has the SIM size changed? Can I just pop in my 10.5's SIM to the new 2018 iPad when I get it? AT&T service, if that matters any?

I’m going to do the exact same thing when I get my Verizon 12.9

Can we do that? Just trade the SIM cards? With AT&T I've always had to log in to me cellular account in settings to transfer my current data plan to any new iPad. Maybe that's because I'm still grandfathered in on the original unlimited data.

I popped the AT&T sim card from my 10.5 pro into new 12.9 Pro and it worked immediately. An hour later when I thought about it I went to the AT&T website and my account showed my new 12.9 iPad in place of the 10.5!

That’s cool to know. I didn’t even have to pop my old sim out. I just went to cellular data on my new 12.9 iPad, logged in to my account and it automatically asked me if I wanted to activate the sim and transfer data plan. I tapped yes and was done. Incredibly fast and didn’t even need to use my sim tool.
