I've searched the forum and not found a similar issue, which makes me more interested!

Since I got it back in June, I've noticed that sometimes initial keypresses from the Smart Keyboard are not registered in the active text entry area.

For instance, if I have Safari open and I start typing "macrumors", the URL/search text box will only show "acrumors". It's almost as if the app is not focusing on the textbox until after I start typing.

This only occurs sometimes, which confuses me, as it clearly means that I don't have to initially press on the textbox before beginning text entry...

Anyone else experiencing this?

Only once after first few weeks of use-ask stopped working.
I simply disconnected and re-connected to ippro smart connector.
Has been flawless since.
Possible cause is lifting ipppro numerous times daily.
ask has been conected permantley since purchase.
In effect user error was the cause.

After two years with a Logitech keyboard I was having issues with the i Pad Pro not responding to the key presses. I went though a few scenarios and finally I cleaned the iPAD connections with a damp cloth. I did this two times and let it thoroughly dry each time. Everything seems fine now. I kept thinking the keyboard was the culprit, but I guess the connectors need cleaning periodically.
