10.6.8 and photostream

I've upgraded my Macbook to 10.6.8 and I have updated my iPhone to 5 and my iPhoto to 9.2. I have my iPhone set with photo stream on but nothing shows up on my mac in iPhoto when I take a pictutre. The pictures are in the Photo Stream folder inside the photos app on the iPhone but nothing. Does this whole iCloud thing work with 10.6.8 or do you have to be on Lion.

iCloud only works with Lion.

(And the newest 10.7.2, at that.)
