I have a 2006 MacPro decided to give it a cleaning with DiskWarrior, sounds and runs great maybe too perfect as when I hit Apple software update I keep getting "network diagnosis" I even went to System prefs, network and checked that the settings matched the settings my girl has on her 2010 mac pro

Also, the html pics in my email do not open neither can I use itunes apps One more also, My pair of seagate external drives do not mount, although I had this same problem prior to cleaning my system.

I re-installed 10.6 and had to download update from apple to 10.6.6 I also got rid of all my foreign languages (monolingual) I also ran font finagler it showed me a what I thought was a font I had that was defined a problem so, I dumped it (Postscript).

checked my console and hit on software update:

Went into /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and deleted:

preferences.plist

Any constructive thoughts would be appreciated.

All the best

Go to the Apple support website and download the latest combo update. Run the combo update from the downloaded file.

Monolingual could be f&$@ing with something. What is the benefit to use it anyway? Does it free up even a gig of space?
