hey there girls & guys.. I'm running a older imac coreduo 20" & on here to see if its worth it upgrading to 10.6??
What have you done? how does it feel? After 3years of use i'm thinking of doing a "Clean install" with snow leopard & is it worth it?
Cheers..

Installed it yesterday on exactly that kinda machine here at work (we've upgraded all our Macs this week) and it's definitely more responsive than it was with Leopard despite not being compatible with the 64bit kernel. Well worth the effort (did a straight upgrade by the way - zero problems despite the fact that the machine hasn't been re-installed since Leopard shipped).

Go ahead and do it.

I agree, for 29$ it'd be worth it simply to get the enhanced dock UI and other new features. QTX=<3

I installed SL on my 3 year old 1.83 core duo MB and it has made a very noticeable improvement with regards to speed of safari and other core applications.

I'm waiting for some patches for essential software before installing 10.6 on my imac.
