10.7.2 without Quartz ATI 4870HD need help pls!

Hi guys!

I have XFX ATI 4870HD 1Gb dual DVI devID 0x00009440 into MacPro 3.1

A few history before:

I had 10.6.6, but netkas' patch QE/CI for 10.6.6 doesn't to get Quartz, and I found this topic - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1077090/ and many thanks Keita 1 for his patch, after I have Quartz!
Futher my MacPro didn't use long time...I was reading about new netkas' QE/CI patch for 48×0 cards for 10.7.2 yesterday and decided to install new OS Lion 10.7.2.....The result - I don't have Quartz, I don't find alternative patch for my card

Do Anyone knows how to get Quartz on 10.7.2 ?

There is no way to do it afaik. You will be happier just selling the card and getting a 6870, more powerful, not too expensive, and won't have to juggle with old drivers (knock on wood)

All about which Model from XFX

The early ones rock (ZHxx or ZDxx part numbers)

The later ones suck (ZWxx part number)

The ZW cards should not be considered for use in Mac. They quit working properly in 10.6.3 and have needed Band Aids ever since.

An unflashed 6870 has better function than a flashed 4870 ZWxx card.

As Cindori says, if you have a ZWxx card, sell or give to someone with a PC and get a 6870.
