I am def. noticing a HUGE improvement in my battery life....been surfing the net all day, and by now I'd have to charge, but I am only at 64% today.

Whatever wasn't specifically talked about in the notes, I am completely ok with it lol...

Bravo apple, a small patch does wonders for my battery drain.

Annoyingly I can't say the same thing. MY RMBP is still clocking around 4:30, still far under 8:00

I went from 4.5 hrs on my 2012 MBA to 9.2 hrs under 10.8.1.

Simply amazing!

Mine stayed roughly the same at ~6.5 hrs; 2012 i7 MBA.

How can I have the same setup, yet far different battery life as those who are getting 9hrs?!

I turned off WiFi and all apps to test it... the only things running were my background apps (geek tool - with only minimal geeklets, and dropbox).

What's up with this?!

I'm hoping that this is an issue with the way that OSX calculates the battery-life, and not the real-world battery life.

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see...

I don't understand where you guys are getting your numbers from. If you're just going by the time indicator, you do know that will change as time goes on, right? It's just a calculated guess and has nothing to do with real usage. Some of you are claiming ridiculous battery length with 10.8.1. The only way to tell is to tell is to run the battery through its paces. These tests were done and show dismal results IMO: (Front page here)

My 2009 has yet to be charged, by now I'd be needing to charge it at least one time. Its just been going and going...def a good change.

I don't have a retina macbook, so I can't comment, but my 2009 MBP is working like a champ now.
