Does anyone else have a Mac on 10.8.2 that crashes and restarts while on sleep? This just started happening after the 10.8.2 update.

what do you mean 'crashes and restarts'...
is it frozen when you try to wake it? or...??

you could try running the 10.8.2 combo update, see if that fixes it (ALWAYS backup first)..

While on sleep, it kernel panics and restarts itself. From my google searching, many other people have this problem, mainly on iMacs. The panic log always references "com.apple.AMDRadeonAccelerator" as the source of the issue. Type com.apple.AMDRadeonAccelerator into google and you will see. I restored to 10.8 because of this problem, which seemed to fix it, and now I am hesitant to update back to 10.8.2.

Yes, I had that - and so did others. See : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1462885/

I solved it by reverting to Lion. Easy to do as my MBA originally came with Lion. So far 3 days with no problems. I'm debating reinstalling 10.8.0, but I remember there were other drawbacks, like slowdowns and poor battery. The problems also seemed to start with the 10.8.2 upgrade (!HA!)

I'm glad it's not me and it is just a problem with 10.8.2. I fixed it by downgrading to 10.8.0. It works fine now.

Same issue here with Crucial M4

I'm experiencing the exact same issue with my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro in combination with my Crucial M4 SSD. Currently running OS X 10.8.2 and the 0309 firmware of my M4.

It crashes every time the MBP resumes from "deep sleep" (trying to restore it's state from HD instead of memory).

I'll update to the new firmware soon to see if this fixes the issues.

Yes, I've had a few of those crashes, which have been reported to Apple a while ago.

As I've said before, 10.8.2 is easily the worst 10.x.x update in the history of the company, with widespread wake-from-sleep, Ethernet disconnections and sandboxing issues...let's hope 10.8.3 fixes them.

@ djon: please tell us if the update of the M4 firmware to 040H solves your issues.

As far as I am concerned it is the case (no more crashes), although wakes from sleep are still frightening: temporary black screens, lags (particularly when the network was off during the OS maintenance night wakes?), etc.

I am having the same problem. Kernel panics immediately after wake from sleep. LS is the only 3rd party kext that is loaded.
I've reinstalled ML and wiped/installed ML and the problems still persist.

That should tell you it's most likely a hardware problem. Has /Applications/Utilities/Console logs given you any clue yet?
