10.8.2 resetting certain preferences on restart

Just upgraded to 10.8.2 the other day. Been running 10.6 for years.

Besides basically sucking overall and being slow, 10.8 is doing a couple interesting things and I would like to see if anyone else is seeing this.

Upon restart, Find My Mac is always deactivated, and the guest user account, which I have turned off, always turns itself back on.

Anyone else have that happen?

not having that problem but do have one. Under my folders I have the number of items showing up no matter how many times I have turned that option off.

try doing a clean install. upgrading may cause problems. specially upgrading from snow leopard to mountain lion
