I installed 10.8.3 and restarted my computer (twice). Then I shut it down completely and restarted. Still, the App Store icon shows an update is needed and when I click on software update it says the computer needs to be restarted to install the update. Looking at "About This Mac," it still shows 10.8.2 as the OS.

Anyone have the same issue or a fix?

Nothing in your description sounds remotely like a successful OS update. The fact that the App Store shows the update still available would seem to be proof positive that no update was performed.

Redownload the update. The update will be installed during restart before your computer shuts down all the say and before it boots up again.

Thanks. I got it. I deleted the update folder in the library and reinstalled manually. Seems to be OK now.
